Notre premier voyage à deux canoës, à chacun son embarcation, à chacun ses méditations.
Ce carnet est dédié à ma fille Amélie,
parce qu'avant de partir j'avais, tout comme elle, sous estimé sa capacité à être vagabonde.
A l'heure de dérouler ce carnet, elle n'attends que de repartir ensemble avec son canoë.
Nous pensions que ce voyage serait bien différent de celui de 2017, effectivement il fut vraiment un cran au dessus, autant dans les émotions de notre relation père fille, qu'au travers des rencontres qui ont eu lieu.
Le titre est aussi un hommage parce que sans ma fille, sans Israfil et Tarja, il y aurait moins d’émotions dans ce carnet.
Ce carnet est aussi un cadeau de noël pour ma fille, parce qu'il n'est pas obligatoire de consommer à outrance pour lui démontrer que je l'aime.

Revenus début Mars, nous sommes repartis le 24 Juin en Finlande.
Ce voyage n'a qu'un seul objectif : naviguer et porter ensemble dans le sud de la Finlande.
Nous ne partons pas avec la notion de se dépasser à tout prix ou d'accomplir une tonne de kilomètres, et encore moins avec l'idée de quitter notre zone de confort, mais bien au contraire, de rejoindre la zone de confort liquide qui attise nos envies depuis l'hiver dernier.
Le trajet en canoë n'est pas vraiment établi, il sera toujours possible de fignoler la boucle sur place.

We do not start with the notion of surpassing ourselves at all costs or of achieving a ton of kilometers, and even less with the idea of leaving our comfort zone, but quite the contrary, of joining the liquid comfort zone which fuels our desires since last winter.
The canoe route is not really established, it will still be possible to tweak the loop on site.

After finding another canoe for less than half its price, I made two identical tarpaulins that completely cover the canoes.
The new canoe stems also need to be protected. We will make this trip with two identical canoes and in the same condition, close to new.
The novelty is a removable 4-wheeled cart that should allow us to only have to pull to move forward. The weight will be placed and distributed on the wheels and above all we will not have to support and manage the rocking of the loaded canoe. Thanks to Steven for soldering my idea in stainless steel !
The wheels are not directional and a jockey wheel system would have been too heavy and too bulky.
The small wheels are oriented towards the rear of the canoe and it is enough to press lightly on the bow of the canoe so that they lift, thus allowing the change of direction.
The only weakness of the system is the screw that secures the two parts but we do not know it at the time of this shot. The dismantled assembly can be stored in each canoe, without taking up more space than usual.
The needle bearings of the 8 wheels are sealed in their housing with a piece of heat-shrinkable sheath, on each side, ie 16 seals. It is the experience of experience that makes me put in place this essential precaution.
The holes in the rim allow to accommodate a stainless steel bar which blocks the wheels and acts as a brake, and it is really very useful in the endless dimensions and the slopes which descend.
