Nous avons aussi croisé un lynx;
- Proverbe Finlandais -
3 and a half months of canoeing in Finland in complete autonomy with a drone and a small incursion in Russia which has earned us from being removed from our freedom by Finnish rangers ...
However, we have met so many caring, kind and inquisitive people that we view this trip as a gift of life.
We also crossed a lynx;
Without images of the feline, we wouldn't have said anything !
From mid-May to the end of July we traveled more than 1200 km of canoe and enjoyed a hundred kilometers of portages through national parks, from huge lakes to tiny rivers to mesmerizing marshes.
Until the meeting of a Finnish family that will upset the course of our journey, its purpose and also a little of our life.
The month of August took place around a cabin / sauna at the edge of a lake, which has been lent to us for no time and to which we can return as we wish !
The stranger is our brother; The man who has come a long way is our parent.

Everything is going well.
We are conscious of living the travel we had come for and yet,
we are still far from his apotheosis !

Departure in a nice swell and hardly noticeable with this kind of image !
The wind suddenly rises and take on a magnitude that always requires reflection,
We have 3/4 back, it's good! But the power of gusts always surprises us.
We do not suffer such a situation, quite the contrary: We scream with joy of being shaken like plums and having to have this relation with the elements.
Surf in Suomi.
Between the islands, the accelerations of the wind in the back make us beat speed records.
Arriving at the end of a lake is always a particular emotion especially after such a gust of wind. The mood changes completely and instantly the sensations follow.
We cross inhabited areas but we do not perceive anything of the human presence.
These are really nice sailing: little current, sheltered from the wind but not from the sun in a calm atmosphere with infinite possibilities to pause.
With such a picture, it's easy to relate to what we see on the cards.
Bivouac in a marina. Arrived in a headwind of hell, the people on the spot welcome us and allow us naturally to plant the tent, while expressing their admiration.
It's a public place, so we'll be very discreet. Landing or boarding a pontoon that floats .... It's the worst: it's a useless expense of time and energy, and it's really the least practical. At the bottom of the image, it is a wood factory.
There is a kota at our disposal right behind the tent, we will dry some wet things and also the shoes since it was the occasion. Of course there are also dry toilets available.
The timber industry is dominant in Suomi.
So much so that some forests are difficult to recover: Due to the climate, forests in the north grow much less quickly than those in the south.
It is also said that logging is too intensive.
But you must know that Suomi .... We do not criticize ! And it is particularly frowned upon to cut off the speaker. You have to know how to take the time.
- Amelie, you really imitate the solar panel !
- Pffffff, you're stupid daddy !
