Nous avons aussi croisé un lynx;
- Proverbe Finlandais -
3 and a half months of canoeing in Finland in complete autonomy with a drone and a small incursion in Russia which has earned us from being removed from our freedom by Finnish rangers ...
However, we have met so many caring, kind and inquisitive people that we view this trip as a gift of life.
We also crossed a lynx;
Without images of the feline, we wouldn't have said anything !
From mid-May to the end of July we traveled more than 1200 km of canoe and enjoyed a hundred kilometers of portages through national parks, from huge lakes to tiny rivers to mesmerizing marshes.
Until the meeting of a Finnish family that will upset the course of our journey, its purpose and also a little of our life.
The month of August took place around a cabin / sauna at the edge of a lake, which has been lent to us for no time and to which we can return as we wish !
The stranger is our brother; The man who has come a long way is our parent.
- Finnish proverb -

Le compte-rendu : Nav 13 - 14 Juin (mise à jour : 13 janv. 2018)
- Proverbe Finlandais -
A memorable day that will end in the setting sun and having searched for hours a camp, we are amazed to see that our stubbornness is bearing fruit: We discover an island equipped with shellters, a brand new kota, and a huge sauna, all in free access and not even posted on our maps, published in 2017 !
"We should not go to the oven if it does not itch"

Insignificant.
The pleasure of sailing between the islands is to protect yourself from the wind, to believe that we always have the best trajectory, and to go to the end to see what's next.
But it is also the disappointment of the birds taking off to protect the little ones who have just been born. And that mouths like at the rat race !
Some birds do not hesitate to rush us on a low ball as to better show others that they are the strongest.
Seagulls in a field of sheep !
It's not nothing for a child of such crossings but the innocence of your age does not always offer you the real measure of the risk.
We turn around the islands, sometimes like around a pot !
An island, a break.
Nature is beautiful.
The same from another angle.
Confused with the rocks.
A crack here, another there and a happy canoe.
On the water we are far from seeing everything that can be seen in this picture.
The big island is ... 3 km. The drone is 500 meters high, just above us and we watch the following greedily !
Arrived at night with a divine weather,
We find a place with shelters, log shelters, and even a public sauna.
It is very nice to see you grow up and become independent of your decisions.
With the towels to make screen in the sun, the night was beneficial .... go, a little sauna of one hour, in the morning, while Amélie is still sleeping. Grime is stubborn !
Once on the island, we discovered it quickly enough and it is always euphoric to make such discoveries.
A public sauna that can accommodate up to 15 people but everyone takes turns after another. In Suomi the tranquility of others is a very serious subject.
When we arrived in the evening, a family of Finnish occupied the sauna ... Once finished, they filled us the buckets, prepared the fire, and reloaded the reserve of wood, we only had to take advantage of it.
So during the two days that followed, we did the same and reloaded the wood supply for those who will come after.
The first saunas were around 80 degrees, then when it became daily, in August, the thermometer exceeded 100 degrees.
The sauna is a Finnish invention that makes you addicted or makes you flee ... a bit like the mobile phone they also "invented".
We spray with fresh water inside and when the threshold of tolerance is reached, we go out to dive into the lake, to better start all over again.
And we make the pleasure last for not far from 5 hours.
Leaving the sauna, our mind is in the same state: peaceful, soothed and diluted.
The glow changes imperceptibly.
The shelter is clean. This is the first time we use one in Scandinavia .... they are usually practiced by tourists and are really disgusting !
We will stay two full days to enjoy the place. You can see the roof of a Kota, it is a closed cottage with, in its center, a fire to prepare food.
A large family Shelter.
We can easily put 40 people there.
There are also fire places at the water's edge for sinners who come with their freshly caught fish. We have never seen so many people enjoy nature as the Finns.
The second night without any noise ....
We listen to the sun go down.
The sauna island with its three pontoons .... each of them leads to shelters, fire corners, kota and sauna.
This is where our journey began to move towards the South East. No more going north.
June 15th. It's been a month, day to day, that we left.
We still do not think that all this time has passed so fast, despite our slowness.
We still do not think that all this time has passed so fast, despite our slowness.
You do not need me for anything anymore, yet our relationship is changing and we are starting to share other things.
Two days of rest, sun, water, sauna, two armchairs, two vagabonds.
The third night. We did not really want to leave here, only by imagining that the suite would be just as delectable as the first month, we were eager to find out more.
Enjoy my daughter, we only have one life.
Tonight the sun offers us a beautiful moment,
I send the drone 400 meters high, just to make the few images that will spark our dreams of the night ahead.
