3 mois et demi de canoë en Finlande en autonomie complète avec un drone et une petite incursion en Russie qui nous a valu d’êtres soustraits de notre liberté par les gardes-cotes Finlandais...
Cependant nous avons rencontré tellement de gens bienveillants, gentils et curieux à notre égard que nous considérons ce voyage comme un cadeau de la vie.
Nous avons aussi croisé un lynx;
Sans images du félin, nous n'aurions rien dit !
De mi Mai à fin Juillet nous avons parcouru plus de 1200 km de canoë et apprécié une centaine de kilomètres de portages à travers des parcs nationaux, de lacs immenses en rivières minuscules aux marais envoûtants.
Jusqu'à la rencontre d'une famille Finlandaise qui bouleversera le cours de notre voyage, sa finalité et aussi un peu de notre vie.
Le mois d’Août s'est déroulé autour d'une cabane/sauna au bord d'un lac, qui nous a été prêtée sans limite de durée et à laquelle nous pouvons revenir comme bon nous semble !
L'étranger est notre frère; L'homme qui vient de bien loin est notre parent.

3 and a half months of canoeing in Finland in complete autonomy with a drone and a small incursion in Russia which has earned us from being removed from our freedom by Finnish rangers ...
However, we have met so many caring, kind and inquisitive people that we view this trip as a gift of life.
We also crossed a lynx;
Without images of the feline, we wouldn't have said anything !
From mid-May to the end of July we traveled more than 1200 km of canoe and enjoyed a hundred kilometers of portages through national parks, from huge lakes to tiny rivers to mesmerizing marshes.
Until the meeting of a Finnish family that will upset the course of our journey, its purpose and also a little of our life.
The month of August took place around a cabin / sauna at the edge of a lake, which has been lent to us for no time and to which we can return as we wish !
The stranger is our brother; The man who has come a long way is our parent.

Pendant que Mirja et Amélie passent la journée ensemble à la piscine sauna de Juva, je donne un coup de main à Eero pour ramasser des cailloux, dans la journée nous retournons voir son fils puis son ami avec qui nous ferons sauna. Paula, sa fille, viendra nous saluer avec tous ses enfants.
En rentrant le soir à la maison tous les deux, au moment de repasser à l'endroit exact où avait eu lieu notre rencontre, nos regards se sont croisés et nous avons partagé la pensée commune de cet instant inoubliable.
While Mirja and Amelie spend the day together at Juva's sauna pool, I give Eero a helping hand to pick up pebbles, in the daytime we go back to see his son and his friend with whom we will make sauna. Paula, his daughter, will come to greet us with all his children.
Returning home at night both, when we went back to the exact place where our meeting took place, our eyes met and we shared the common thought of this unforgettable moment.

Eero à choisi une place pour son couteau, qui me fait honneur !
Eero chose a place for his knife, which does me honor !
Eero et Rami nous déposent au pied du canoë et filent en Laponie où Eero possède des maisons à louer qu'il doit entretenir. Nous devions revenir en Décembre mais nos finances ne nous ont pas permis ce plaisir.
Eero and Rami drop us at the foot of the canoe and drive to Lapland, where Eero owns the rented houses he has to maintain. We had to come back in December but our finances did not allow us this pleasure.
Eero, peu importe, quand je regarde le monde, mon pays c'est par terre.
Eero, no matter, when I look at the world, my country is on the ground.
Revenus à notre duo, nous resterons là deux heures à absorber cette rupture mais nous savons parfaitement que nous reviendrons.
Coming back to our duo, we will stay there for two hours to absorb this break but we know perfectly well that we will come back.

La météo s'accorde à nos sentiments de funérailles.

Nous repartons pour 46 km avec deux rapides à descendre, nous savons que nous arriverons durant la nuit à la cabane. Cette dernière navigation se doit d’être aussi épanouissante que possible.
We leave for 46 km with two rapids to go down, we know that we will arrive at night at the cabin. This last navigation must be as fulfilling as possible.
C'est ce jour là que pour la première fois, les hélices du drone heurtent mes doigts...aucune entaille mais deux doigts compléments ankylosés pendant 2 bonnes heures.

Le chemin du retour à la cabane prendra 4 heures de moins....Avec le courant dans le bon sens, le temps passe trop vite !
The way back to the hut will take 4 hours less .... With the current in the right direction, time goes too fast !
Arrivée durant une nuit noire pendant laquelle personne n'a dormi. Navigation au GPS obligatoire. La nuit, il est difficile de se rendre compte de l'allure du canoë, pourtant tout monte d'un cran, les sensations aussi.
Arrival during a dark night during which no one has slept. GPS navigation required. At night, it is difficult to realize the pace of the canoe, yet everything goes up a notch, sensations too.

A trois jours du départ, Perti qui nous prêté le cabane vient nous rendre une dernière visite avec sa compagne.
Three days before the departure, Perti, who lent us the cabin, comes to pay us a last visit with his companion.
Nous faisons des images pour leur offrir mais comment pouvons nous les remercier pour un tel cadeau ! Amélie porte un vêtement que lui a offert Mirja.
We make images to offer them but how can we thank them for such a gift! Amélie is wearing a garment that Mirja has given her.
Nous regardons s’égrener les trois derniers jours avec une telle hantise, que même les saunas quotidiens qui dépassent les 100°, n'arrivent pas à faire fondre.
We watch the three last days with such an obsession, that even daily saunas that exceed 100 °, do not manage to melt.
Tu tentes de laisser une trace de ce voyage.
You try to leave a trace of this trip.
Cela fait trois semaines que nous vivons avec cette cabane comme refuge, nous y avons passées de heures entières à y vivre paisiblement, au rythme du temps qui passe. Nous y avons déposé des émotions et nous y reviendrons.
It's been three weeks that we live with this cabin as a refuge, we spent whole hours there to live peacefully, to the rhythm of the passing time. We put emotions in and we will come back to it.

25 Août. Nous repartons chez nous, aussi tous les deux, en continuant de flotter et d’espérer avoir, tant de grâce.
