Nous avons aussi croisé un lynx;
- Proverbe Finlandais -
3 and a half months of canoeing in Finland in complete autonomy with a drone and a small incursion in Russia which has earned us from being removed from our freedom by Finnish rangers ...
However, we have met so many caring, kind and inquisitive people that we view this trip as a gift of life.
We also crossed a lynx;
Without images of the feline, we wouldn't have said anything !
From mid-May to the end of July we traveled more than 1200 km of canoe and enjoyed a hundred kilometers of portages through national parks, from huge lakes to tiny rivers to mesmerizing marshes.
Until the meeting of a Finnish family that will upset the course of our journey, its purpose and also a little of our life.
The month of August took place around a cabin / sauna at the edge of a lake, which has been lent to us for no time and to which we can return as we wish !
The stranger is our brother; The man who has come a long way is our parent.
- Finnish proverb -

"Go to the sauna as to the church."
- Finnish proverb -
The weather is changing and we do not yet know what the weather is capable of here.
We did not suspect that at the arrival of this long and eventful trip, we would have the chance to find an abandoned sauna on an equally deserted island.
The tent is guessing. Arrived by the opposite bank, it is after an hour of exploration that we decided to set camp in a creek.
We found traces of life that made us understand that there may be something to find ...
A sauna is located about twenty meters behind the tent but the vegetation conceals it brilliantly.
Called the "magic sauna", it is here that I discovered by email that our article of the month of July would be paid by the magazine Astrapi! Yahooo! Thanks to the editors.
We cleaned it for well over an hour before we could prepare the first fire.
Amélie discovers the sauna in particularly good conditions and for my part, it's a daydream !
There is a supply of wood rotting right in front of the entrance, we just have to get buckets of fresh water,
and using the cups provided for this purpose,
Each one offers the violent pleasure of the hot / cold contrast.
Before, we had never had the idea of taking it with us;
Afterwards, we clearly realized that being able to pick and nibble is soothing.
In the sauna, we listen to music and during breaks, we eat.

We take off after 2 days of rest and 3 really beneficial sauna evenings, it's hard to leave this place, the island is huge and its primary forest really impressive.
We sometimes feel sailing on an watercolor !
