Nous avons aussi croisé un lynx;
- Proverbe Finlandais -
3 and a half months of canoeing in Finland in complete autonomy with a drone and a small incursion in Russia which has earned us from being removed from our freedom by Finnish rangers ...
However, we have met so many caring, kind and inquisitive people that we view this trip as a gift of life.
We also crossed a lynx;
Without images of the feline, we wouldn't have said anything !
From mid-May to the end of July we traveled more than 1200 km of canoe and enjoyed a hundred kilometers of portages through national parks, from huge lakes to tiny rivers to mesmerizing marshes.
Until the meeting of a Finnish family that will upset the course of our journey, its purpose and also a little of our life.
The month of August took place around a cabin / sauna at the edge of a lake, which has been lent to us for no time and to which we can return as we wish !
The stranger is our brother; The man who has come a long way is our parent.

We have not sailed for 7 days and it appears to be a ditch, so to keep fit and leave the cabin a bit addictive, we decide to go to Hirvensalmi if we find candles, and oils for the sauna.
A round trip of about 40 kilometers.

We have not sailed for 7 days and it appears to be a ditch, so to keep fit and leave the cabin a bit addictive, we decide to go to Hirvensalmi if we find candles, and oils for the sauna.
A round trip of about 40 kilometers.
Upon arrival, with Eero and Mirja, there was the key on the door.
It's every day that we savor the chance of this gift. Unlike Norwegians and Swedes, Finns do not cut trees between home and water. This is how houses are not visible from the canoe.
It is every day that we welcome to have turned around and considered the most difficult course: otherwise we would have never met Eero, nor Mari and Sampsa, nor even crossed a lynx.
The cabin is tiny, without water or electricity but it is a paradise. We dream to come back in winter !
There are three islands directly opposite, the Pertini Islands. The whole area is a kind of nature reserve including ... 5000 houses and camps for canoe / kayaks and yet we do not see anyone.
Just sit there and the motionless journey continues.
I would have liked to be in your place to forget the vertigo of the mass.
there is plenty around the cabin and they participate in the beauty of this corner of paradise.
Amélie trains every day, she goes further and further every day and our days are punctuated by the evening sauna.
The potato and the beauty of your age.
On the way to Hirvensalmi. It is very nice to know that after this day of effort, the sauna is waiting for our daily session.
A woman who was doing the boat in parallel to our trajectory began to respond to our desires to race on 1 km ... She won, just a little !
Then in the evening it's a lake just for us.
The Finns are curious and our canoe asks questions, so the discussions are triggered and each tells a little about his adventures.
At this altitude, the drone is still reasonable,
but at this altitude, he also lets himself be enchanted by the evening lights that accompany us to the sauna.
